Never mistake a shovel for a spade...

Yeah, both look similar but very different.
Same thing applies to movement and progress.

The fact that you're spending time on whatever you're doing doesn't mean you're making progress in life; don't get me wrong!

"The speed of movement and distance covered doesn't count once you begin rowing towards the wrong direction".

How would you look at an engineering student who misses his lectures just to attend medical students' lectures?
Or a person who's actual destination is Enugu but decides to enter a bus heading to Lagos??? Of course he's making a movement, but that doesn't mean that there's a progress tag on his actual aim. People at home might think there's progress on his journey, but is that actually true?? He will arrive Lagos, which is actually better than Enugu in terms of development, but does that grant him a successful journey, NO!
The journey is only successful if you arrive your right destination.

How would it have looked if Pastor E. A. Adeboye was an inspirational speaker or Pastor Chris was a comedian. Maybe Messi and Ronaldo should have all been medical doctors.
People might actually think you're having a blissful career and applaud you for that, but a misplaced destiny can never bring fulfilment. That peace of mind will always be absent.

When a pastor becomes an inspirational speaker, destiny has been diverted, or an inspirational speaker becomes a comedian, an engineer becomes a doctor, a business man becomes a lawyer or a comedian becomes a pastor. What a failure the world would have been.

The fact that someone else succeeded in a particular field doesn't mean you should also pursue the same career, destiny differs. A diverted destiny never brings fulfilment.
Never let other people's career intimidate and push you to the wrong side of the future. Your career is also unique and special, stick to it and you'll make a great difference in the world.

Our problem is exacerbated by our Western lifestyle and mindset, which often reflect our “instant” society. In America it seems we cannot bear to wait for anything. What a pity ... She gave her car key to the youngest child in the car while she went to buy some stuff in the mall. Upon her return, the boy had misplaced the key and the whole family was stranded on the road. Observing her discomfort with innocent kids without a masculine shepherd, I joined the search party. For each passing minute without the key, she landed the boy that had the key with a slap or a concentrated curse! After few minutes, she strayed in frustration into a motorbike's way and was knocked down. It was in the process of helping her up and picking the pieces of her belongings that the car key was found.
